The highly effective formula is free of artificial color and fragrances, meaning it can be perfectly integrated into your existing skincare routine as the ideal skincare experience in two ways. For purely enzymatic, gentle peeling, lather the balm in the palms of the hands with warm water until the sugar crystals have dissolved. Massage into the face and rinse off. For more intensive peeling, apply the balm directly to the face and massage in for enzymatic, mechanical exfoliation. Rinse with water. Main active ingredients The enzyme papain comes from the peel and the seeds of the papaya, a fruit from the Caricaceae family rich in valuable vitamins and minerals, and has revitalizing, clarifying, and brightening properties. Papain removes dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, promoting skin regeneration processes. In addition, papain has a tyrosinase-inhibiting effect, helping to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and skin discoloration. Papain also promotes a clarified complexion and helps the skin maintain its natural moisture balance. This makes the skin smoother and more even and the complexion appears fresher and more radiant.
Natural sugar-based and environmentally-friendly exfoliating particles remove loose skin cells in the upper layers of the skin and promote circulation in the skin. The skin appears smoother and rough areas are once again soft and supple. Secondary active ingredients The biogen plant extract also protects the skin against harmful environmental influences. Additionally enriched with the exclusive DOCTOR BABOR BIOGEN PLANT EXTRACT, the pinnacle of BABOR research, the skin’s natural processes are stimulated, thus promoting the skin’s youthful agility. Benefit The effective combination of a mechanical and enzymatic peeling gently and reliably removes dead skin cells and refines the surface of the skin for dull complexions. Dull, tired-looking skin is gently exfoliated and appears more radiant and revitalized. Application Apply 1-2x per week. For an intensive peeling effect, apply to the dried face, neck, and décolleté after cleansing, preferably with the DOCTOR BABOR Refining Cleansing Oil Balm, and lather in circular motions for 1-2 minutes. Avoid the eye area. Moisten fingertips with water and massage the peeling for 3 to 5 more minutes. Re-moisten the fingers frequently so that the exfoliating particles dissolve completely. Finally, rinse off thoroughly. For a gentle, purely enzymatic peeling, later the balm in the palm of the hand adding warm water until the crystals have dissolved.
